We've stayed at dozens of hotels in the Los Angeles area over the years. Many are wonderful, but you'll pay a price for location, location, location. Unbelievably, this quaint boutique hotel is in a location that can't be beat, coupled with excellent accommodations, and great amenities, all for a price you won't believe. It's in Brentwood on Sunset Boulevard, right off the 405 freeway, and smack in the middle of all of the fun. The Luxe is perfect if you're going to be sightseeing or traveling for business in any direction. Westwood, Beverly Hills, Bel Air, Santa Monica, Venice, Malibu, and Hollywood, to name a few, are all short drives away.
Plush comfort, simple style, and pure elegance describes not only the hotel's ambiance, but the 162 suites and luxury hotel rooms as well. The calming colors and casual, contemporary designs, are delightfully cozy and that's all thanks to their famed interior designer, Mary McDonald. It radiates zen in every way. Their staff is outstanding, thoughtful, friendly and helpful, always with smiles on their faces. Your need will be met immediately, and perfectly, and you know that customer service is extremely important to them.
All of the rooms, even their smallest at 552 sf, and their bathrooms are spacious and so comfortable... they truly are a home away from home. There's plenty of room for even a family of five because they can bring a rollaway bed in. Your pet is welcome to join you (within their guidelines)... however (and understandable) there will be an additional fee added to your bill for additional cleaning fees.
Your room choices are:
- Superior Room (552 square feet; King or 2 Full-Size Beds)
- Deluxe Room (585 square feet; King Bed)
- Executive Suite (our favorite) (672 square feet; King Bed or 2 Queens; oversized bathroom with Roman tub; huge amount of living space)
- One-Bedroom Suite (with separate bedroom; designer living room; 2 flat-screen tvs; sunken tub)
- Vista Suite (King Bed; 615 square feet; comfortable living space)
In any of their rooms, you with be catered to with luxury linens, flat-screen tvs, electronic safe, complimentary wi-fi, iPod docking stations, writing desk and chair, hairdryer, coffee maker with complimentary coffee and tea, fully stocked refreshment center (extra costs), On-Demand movies, bath amenities, iron/board, and Luxe signature cotton bathrobes and slippers to use during your stay.
One of our personal favorite amenities is their car service (included at no charge, at your beck and call). They will drop you off and pick you up anywhere within a three-mile radius. This great bonus will get you to Westwood, only a few miles away, most places in Brentwood, and lots of local restaurants and shopping. Car service saves you the time and expense of having to drive to your destination, find a parking spot, and pay for that parking. The Luxe will also drive you to the airport when you're ready to depart. You can't get any better than that.
The Luxe has a plethora of great meeting and party space, all unique (starting at 345 square feet up to their gorgeous ballroom at 4,500 square feet). What we love the most about their space is the natural light that shines through each room, not easy to find in meeting/party space. They provide you with an experienced, skilled staff for all that you need. Whether your needs are for corporate meetings, personal venues including weddings, bar/bat mitzvahs, sweet 16s, birthdays, anniversaries, bridal showers, private weddings and so much more, you will be excited about what they have to offer. A generous inventory of banquet rooms, state-of-the-art equipment, and delectable dining options will take your event to the next level in exclusive, intimate settings. Their ballroom allows for great versatility, with different variations offered, and a lovely outdoor terrace that can be set up in many different ways. There's more than enough flexibility to accommodate meetings that require boardrooms, hospitality parlors, conference rooms, showrooms, and lunches or dinners. We guarantee that any event held here will be a memorable affair for both you and your guests. The Luxe's professional team of chefs, managed by Executive Chef Olivier Rousselle, will create culinary masterpieces using the finest and freshest ingredients that will satisfy even the pickiest of eaters. Whether you are there for an intimate dinner or a magnificent party, they will surprise and delight you spectacular dinners and lavish desserts.
Quiet and peaceful is their outdoor heated pool with a setting that is perfectly intimate. With lounge chairs, lounge beds under cabana canopies, and a bar, you will feel as though you're relaxing in your own backyard. There is also always free water with lemons and fruit available to keep you hydrated. And, of course, poolside meal service. Honestly, sitting at the Luxe pool provided the perfect place for much-needed downtime.
Luxe's 'On Sunset' restaurant was so convenient for grabbing a quick breakfast, lunch, or snack. Dinners were impeccable. The food was always prepared perfectly (and generously), the waiters were adorable and so friendly, and the atmosphere casual and easy. You can dine on their tranquil patio or sit inside their main dining room. Seasonal California offerings with a French influence will enlighten your palate. And if you're in the mood for a quick cocktail or light appetizers, their bar offers the perfect solution.
The Luxe has a Zen-inspired spa, and a small gym too, perfect for a quick workout. At the spa you will find an array of personalized treatments. Whether you desire a massage, body or skin treatment, facial, manicure, waxing, or even eyelash extensions, their highly-skilled professionals will pamper you the way you deserve to be pampered.
